Cypel Helski
O miejscu
The far end of the Peninsula. Open sea on three sides, Second World War bunkers and sand giving way to the Baltic Sea.
Cypel Helski is the easternmost point of the Hel Peninsula — the place where land gives way to the Baltic Sea. Open water on three sides creates a landscape unlike any other, with the sound of the waves carrying from every direction. The headland still holds the bunkers of Second World War coastal fortifications, today part of the Coastal Defence Museum. A walk along the shore leads through pine forest and wild beaches all the way to the very tip of the peninsula. In summer, a boat brings visitors here directly from Gdynia.
