Hel

O miejscu

A charming little town on the tip of the Hel Peninsula. A seal sanctuary, a lighthouse, broad beaches and the unmistakable atmosphere of a harbour town.

Hel is a charming little town set at the very tip of the Hel Peninsula, celebrated for the singular atmosphere of a working harbour town. It is home to the Seal Sanctuary — the only place in Poland where you can watch grey seals in their natural habitat. A visit to the lighthouse, dating back to 1827, rewards you with breathtaking views over the Baltic Sea and Puck Bay. The fishing harbour hums with life, while local restaurants serve the freshest catch of the day. The Fisheries Museum brings the history and traditions of Hel's fishermen to life. The broad, sandy beaches on both sides of the headland are perfect for sunbathing and watersports alike.
